Works with GPS for out-of-car trip planning.

Only used once so far, worked with my Garmin device. I wanted a way to power the GPS for off-vehicle trip planning. The computer's USB port typically supplies 0.5 amps and only puts the GPS into mass storage mode for updating maps and browsing files. The adapter allows me to plan a trip outside of the car as it has a 1.0A output.
