Review on 🥕 Plastic Vegetable Slicer Tray (Previous Model) by Melissa Cook

So far so good. I was very excited to get this mandolin out of the box and start using it. The different blades are easy to adjust and swap out, and most importantly, they cut veggies like a charm. I will be using it in my home kitchen and am excited to see how much time it will save me, although it seems it took me a lot longer than it actually did to get perfect, even slices and cubes. I grew up in a house where everything was cut by hand with a knife and I'm so lucky I learned how to use it in cooking for my family. I did quite a bit of research before purchasing this mandolin which is my first so I can't compare it to others. Although I feel like I definitely made the right choice with this choice. Definitely glad I went with the older model with the included tray, it catches chopped veggies really well. I was a little nervous about the accident after looking at other reviews, but once I actually got my hands on it and started using it, I realized it wasn't as intimidating as I initially thought. Although I also bought a pair of protective gloves to use with it as others have recommended. The included finger guard is a little awkward to use, although I only use it for a day, so I'm glad I have gloves, at least until I get used to handling the mandolin. It seems fairly easy to stain, but I'm fine with that. Also, the one I received has stainless steel adjustment knobs, not the green plastic knobs shown in the photo. So for me it was an added bonus.
