The price of this item is definitely the best feature. Replaced 3 bulbs of 60 watts each. Depending on the characteristics of the 60-watt lamps, this lamp is said to deliver more lumens (approx. 100 more each) than the specifications of these compact fluorescent lamps. This is not the case as the lamps appear much dimmer. They also take about 5 minutes to reach full brightness. I do not recommend this for high traffic areas in the home. Maybe better in the bedroom if you can wait 5 minutes for those things to get lighter. Haven't tried LEDs yet but from what I've read in the description you get what you pay for which is the best product. Update: After installing a few of these around the house, I noticed that they can take a few days to brighten up a bit. They are now slightly brighter than my 60 watt incandescent bulbs. For best results, replace the light bulbs, then turn them on and leave them on for about ten minutes. After lighting all the gas for a long time, they seem to get brighter a little faster the next time you use them. Upgraded to 4 stars but in my opinion the bulb should just work and not take much thought to get it up to spec.
