Microwave works as expected. The fryer is very weak; It takes twice as long as my custom Air Freezer and makes the fries soft instead of crispy. The same applies to baking and other functions. Frozen dinners last twice as long as recommended, and the food is barely hot - certainly nowhere near the 375F setting. Save money and get products specifically tailored to your needs. So I started checking the unit and found that the top heating element was not working so I decided to return the oven for a replacement. In doing so, Revane suggested speaking to tech support to see if anything else could be done before returning. One of the suggested steps was to unplug the device and plug it back in. This seemed like a pretty unlikely solution as it clearly worked and certain aspects did. However, I tried it and BINGO, the top heating element, worked. The air fryer cooked very crispy potatoes! It's a bit slower than the dedicated fryer, but it worked pretty well overall. New update November 7, 2020. Have to deduct a star. For the third time since receiving this oven on October 12, 2020, I have had to remove overcooked food due to the impossibility of visually following the process through a glass that is too dark.
