Review on πŸƒ CamelBak eddy+ BPA Free Water Bottle, 25 oz, Hunter, 0.75L - Enhanced SEO by Andres Imaging

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Disappointing drop in quality from the original Eddy

I bought an Eddy+ to replace my old Eddy. The bite valve started popping on this one, but I couldn't find the same replacement parts on the Revain. To be honest, I'm pretty pissed about the new model. I never thought I would give a review for a water bottle, but since a water bottle's primary purpose is to drink water, I'll rate it from this experience: it's not very good. 1) The bite valve is very flimsy compared to the old Eddys and I'm not sure it will last as long as the previous version. 2) For a water bottle advertised as containing 25% more water, it's not that simple. If you apply light pressure to the bite valve while drinking, the flap edges partially invert and won't close unless you press firmly (roughly) with your fingers. It happens about 30% of the time I use it to the point where it's constantly annoying. The only time the straw in my old Eddie came loose was when I manually took it out to wash. The straw in the Eddy+ fell off the lid on its own six times in the three days I used it. doesn't latch when open like old Eddie did. That means it moves a little freely while you drink from it. It also means that no one at CamelBak has a beard because the movement of the non-locking spout is CONSTANTLY pinching the whiskers between my bottom lip and chin. "Pain" is not the feeling I want when using a water bottle. I'm not sure why a clamp so close to a person's mouth is a good idea. not so good. Between a weak and inconsistent bite flap, a loose straw, and a permanent beard hair removal mechanism. I won't be returning it as I've used it, but I definitely won't be buying another CamelBak for a while.
