Used to cool my second Xeon on a Dell Precision workstation. It works, looks the same as my standard Dell can cool, Dell's dumb 5-pin proprietary PWM connector fits and works fine, but the CPU it cools is still almost always 5-25⁰F warmer than the one that does covered by my standard Dell cooler. same thermal paste, same PWM settings, this cooler is closer to the front of the case (relatively free of intake fans) and that's the only difference between them. There are a few other variables to consider and I have yet to swap the CPU between sockets to confirm this, but I'm pretty sure it's the cooler. It's still a good cooler and it actually works, just thought I'd share my little anomaly so potential buyers wouldn't be blind.
