I use Bare Minerals loose powder and have never been able to bring myself to buy one of their brushes. I have a couple of their brushes from the starter kits but have been told the brushes that come with the kit aren't that great - this is the cheaper version. I was very skeptical that this brush could be as good as the reviews on it, but 5 stars out of 2100 reviews - who could I disagree with?! use - please don't think you can skip this step. It smells quite chemically when you open it, and while it's not a pleasant smell, it was nice to know it was fresh from the factory. Anyway, I washed it once with my regular brush cleaner and the smell was gone. When I wanted to use it, I was surprised. It's so soft and applies to loose powder so well - even my husband noticed how much bigger my skin looks. I could not believe it! Seriously, if you're looking for a good foundation brush and you use loose powder, you can't go wrong with this brush. You will not regret it!
