The device I received didn't charge the iPhone 8 Plus but did charge other devices. Since the phone charger was one of the main reasons I bought it, it's dead to me.

just turned it on for a few minutes or so while lazily watching the shark tank. an hour and a half later it's still working. the reception is very sufficient, the volume is high, pretty solid little radio.

Everything works but the solar panel charger doesn't work, the system claims to be able to charge a cell phone which is misleading. You can only use it as a regular radio and flash.

Great sound and feel. Pulls at many stations. Powered by dynamo, rechargeable and alkaline batteries, and solar charging. It can charge your phone via dynamo in case of emergency. Might be enough for a 5 minute phone call to get started. A small power plant in any case. I am very happy.

With four different power modes: solar, crank, battery and battery, I can receive radio signals no matter what. Sandy's failures forced me to prepare. The built-in flashlight and USB charging port make it the perfect travel companion. The only way to do better is to have a weather radio instead of a useless shortwave radio, but that's pretty minor.

This little thing beats! It fits in the palm of your hand but can fill a large garden with music. I've used it on camping trips, the beach, backyard BBQs, etc. It doesn't need to be plugged in, it's solar powered. There are also battery and manual start options. Not only is it a great addition to outdoor social events, but it's also a beautiful piece for peace of mind. In the event of a power outage, unlike other battery-powered devices, it can run indefinitely.

I really like this radio. When I first got it I tried using a crack and it didn't work, but I checked the battery and found the battery cable wasn't fully connected. Once plugged in I had no issues and it charges very easily with a manual rip. I've also tried the solar charging option and it seems to work well too. I got one of these as a backup for power outages and camping. It's small and light and does pretty much anything. You can charge the batteries using the grip, any standard USB power source (e.g. wall charger, computer, car adapter, etc.) or the solar panel on top of the device. Charging requires a fairly powerful light, but there's a small green light on the front to let you know charging is working. The three LEDs at the end give off enough light to find something. Received my radio on time. I didn't realize how small it was, but that's ok. I tried it last night and it worked fine. Solar power worked well to charge a partially charged battery. I live in Richards, Texas, in the middle of nowhere. At sunset and around 2am I was able to pick up a few stations on the shortwave channels. I'll buy an antenna for it in hopes of removing static.
