I breastfed my first child for 18 months. During this time I burned many disposable nursing pads. I bought them on a whim and liked them so much I bought four more sets. I got thrush and mastitis with my first child. Not funny. With this baby, I avoided that fate by making sure to change my nursing pads as often as possible. I'm pretty well taken care of - especially in the first few months when I swell and sweat a lot. You can definitely take a good amount. They get heavy and feel wet against the skin, so buy multiple sets and change them often until your supplies adjust. I'm 6 months old with EBF, my second. I've washed them many times and they hold up and continue to do their job! Additions seem insignificant. I don't use wet bags, other than one with a couple of pads in a diaper bag. A mesh laundry bag is ridiculous — it doesn't stay locked in the washer or dryer, and you really want your pads to be as loose as possible to cheer up anyway. I use a laundry bag to collect used pads. Yes, you can definitely see the dent in these pads when wearing an unpadded bra and t-shirt; but that's a problem with any seal. Love the cute prints, I like the large size which is slightly larger than the reusable ones you can buy in the store (see pic) and they absorb leaks very well. . I highly recommend.
