*** REVISED 12/16/2020 *** Will try another one now and see if it lasts, stay tuned. I purchased these 100 watt mini ceramic infrared heaters from MD Lighting to heat the drinking water compartments and lithium batteries in my truck - the water situation speaks for itself and is no tragedy if it doesn't work 100% 100% of the time. However, lithium batteries do not charge below zero at all and prefer temperatures around 50-70f for a full and fast charge. Combine 2 of these bulbs with a thermostat controlled plug and I think the 200w consumption when not in use at night is more than offset by the improved charging ability most days. In theory, mini bulbs should also be less prone to bumps in the road. I'll update this review next spring (or if it breaks before then) for anyone who might be interested in building something similar.
