We did a lot of research to decide on this real leather belt. I knew as soon as I opened the package that it wasn't whole grain (too good to be true I guess) and in fact it had a sticker that said 'genuine leather' even though it was written on the outside of the plastic bag (perhaps for Revain trekking) as a genuine leather belt. This is typical faux leather, not the more durable real leather.
