Worked to specification under light loads.

Everyone knows that reliable is one of the best manufacturers of inverters, so this was essential for my projects. First I have to say that the inverter wiring looked very cheap. It looked like 10 AWG hardwired cable. My inverter that I noticed didn't even have a brand name. He just said it was a pure sine wave, which was odd, but it seemed pretty solidly built. Build quality looked good and was heavy due to the dual power cords which I figured would meet my needs fairly easily. My first load is a 300w hot glue gun. I thought it doesn't even tickle that inverter. It just went off after 20 minutes of use. I found it strange. The second time I used it I had a small drill that was around 750-800 watts, remember it's 3500 watts with 7000 watts peak. It worked quite well with the drill, but I noticed that the fans start up quite early. but I was busy and didn't pay much attention to it. I left the drill on but not running and went ahead to cut some wood. My mother runs over and says our barn caught fire. Needless to say my batteries weren't in the shed either, thank goodness. I would have taken photos but we had a cleaning crew to clean up the damage. I'm not disappointed but I'm glad it wasn't worse.

Pros

Cons
  • Very expensive
