I've been doing freelance transcription for almost 10 years and this is the first time I've had to replace a pedal with a newer model. This replaces my old RS 25 which still works great, but in order to upgrade to the latest (and greatest) version 7 DSS player I also had to upgrade the footswitch. It's almost the same. Standard model with right hand, left hand and center play. It works well and has good plug and play functionality. No problem. It seems like another solid device and I will be using it for years to come. At least until they force me to update again to use the new version of the player.
