Quality seems decent but brightness is nowhere near as expected. Can be mounted in a 3/4" hole with the included rubber grommet or without a grommet. Can be surface mounted in a 1/2" hole with the included self-adhesive backing. Not shown in the photos, but requires an installation depth of approx. 1 inch. The included pigtails are actually much heavier than required for a device that only draws 20mA. 18 or 20 gauge would be sufficient and maybe a little more flexible to install, but heavier gauge wire is definitely not the way to go. This reduces performance. I installed 2 of these in the top gate of my Land Rover to illuminate the back door when open and to serve as a work light when camping as I often use the back door as a cooking area at camp. no brighter than the individual LED bulbs found in standard umbrellas. I'll either have to install more of these or find a brighter light to replace them. Good for what they are but disappointing results.
