Review on Fresh is Good Recipe πŸ“” Binder: Organize and Preserve Your Favorite Recipes by Deb Wilkes

Mostly great for the kitchen and dining room

I bought 2 of these folders and they are great most of the time. Only 2 complaints: 1. The tabs don't extend past the edges of the sides so you can't see them (which defeats the purpose). If the book was only 1/4 inch wider, there would be room for tabs that are actually visible. I'm thinking about adding self-adhesive tabs at the top (where the book has a little more room).2. The design is a bit dated and uninteresting, and the included recipe cards are overly fussy/overly embellished. I chose two OK book designs and used my own flashcards. But I love this concept. I've decided to go the old-fashioned route and handwrite my favorite recipes rather than a hodgepodge of handwritten and online printouts of various sizes in various folders. The exercise was fun, it helped me "marry" my recipes and put them all together. I even write recipe cards for cookbooks that have become family classics. I have a daily recipe book and a holiday/party/dessert book.

Pros
  • Even the old can understand
Cons
  • Some little things
