As owners of Oreck and Dyson vacuums, growing pains in my hips and shoulders called for something light. I decided to do this after looking at many. My first impression was that it looks and feels cheap. I've only had it for about a month and it still sucks great. Emptying the canister (in my experience with others) is quite a hassle and a mess as the vacuum has to be held over the bin and if you're not careful dirt/debris will end up on the flat head. Vacuum (needed to be flushed once or twice) and there is always a tiny residue that doesn't fall around the base where the canister is emptied. But I preferred the canister to the bags. I love that it has power options for carpet and wood/tile floors. I also appreciate the long cord but to be honest I find my other two vacuums had the same range. The head of the vacuum is not that wide and is designed to be very flat/low to the floor, making it easier for me to get into smaller spaces. I deducted 1 point because the part that attaches to the handle (and holds the wand) just seems to get in the way. I've tried one side and the other but it moves with the cleaner. I also want the on/off switch to be well labeled so it's easy to see which position to turn carpet on and which position to turn hardwood/tile on. I haven't had a vacuum long enough to remember this, so it seems like I usually have to start and stop it in the wrong mode to get it in the right power mode. We have pine needles that end up in the hallway and a short haired dog and I am very happy with this vacuum. I used the rechargeable model for light vacuuming between deep cleanings. My husband gave it to me almost 2 Christmases ago and after 21 months the clasp on the whisk broke and it no longer stays in place. I was looking for something small and light but better quality than a rechargeable one. The cord ensures I don't lose suction (which seems to happen with the battery). So far I've been very satisfied. I hope the durability surpasses the plastic look. (I remember well the days when our vacuum cleaners were metal/steel and seemed to last forever). I wasn't familiar with the brand, but I would recommend it without hesitation.
