Cost Effectively Made for Photo Frames

For a nearly $40 frame, I expected high quality. Mine came with a big scratch on the front which I understand happens but it was all so cheap. The frame itself is not as wide as in the pictures. . Just a few small pieces of wood put together (which in itself was a disappointment). I knew we would have to add screws to the back to hang it, which is an added burden, but that would be nice. Although the wooden frame is flimsy and also poorly constructed, I'm concerned about how well it will hold up. The "glass" isn't actually glass at all, but thin, paper-thin plastic (which was already scratched upon arrival). The back is cardboard (most of them) but it's the thinnest and cheapest cardboard they can fit. Like they just cut a piece out of thin cardboard. Also, the matte part is mostly a thicker paper material, which wasn't the case here either. Overall I was expecting a better quality frame for the price, but it's a tad better than the regular poster frame you can buy for a few bucks. If you're looking to spend a lot of money framing a poster this will work but isn't great for framing a quality piece.

Pros
  • Matte finish frame holds 12" x 18" photos/prints/posters (the matte finish overlaps the image by 1/4" on each side). The frame shows an uncoated 18" x 24" photo/print/poster (the edge of the frame overlaps the image by 1/4" on each side).
