Review on 🔍 Ridgid VF3500 3 Layer Filter WD4050: Enhancing Performance and Efficiency by Jaleel Pruitt

This Ridgid VF3500 3-Ply Filter is a perfect match for my 7+ year old RIDGID WD4050 shop vacuum. While there is some confusion over the part number mismatch between the VF3500 and VR3500, this is simply because RIDGID has updated the filter design. ANY part number (prefix VR or VF) will fit and work properly; However, this newer VF model does not require the use of the round black plastic plate that was required to hold the old (open at the bottom) type filter. The rubberized sheet is now molded directly into the bottom of the filter (hence the black ribs you can see on the bottom of the product image). Also, technically you don't need the white threaded nylon nut that held that round plastic plate in place. The new filter is more like a "friction fit"; However, I installed the white nylon nut anyway as there are enough threaded posts through the center of this new filter to be able to install it.
