This is a good labeling machine with different characters and label styles. Unfortunately, special characters are hard to come by. The "manual" is a piece of paper with no detailed instructions or examples. It's also a battery pig. I read this in other reviews and checked why. The main problem is that the low battery level is 1.4 volts, which happens very quickly, especially with AAA batteries. My son has a diabetic pump that doesn't think the battery is low until the voltage drops to 1.2 or 1.1 volts. They are similar in that they have both a motor and a display. Do not leave batteries in the device when not in use. Low charge batteries can usually be used in other devices, but since they are AAA type, not many things use them. It uses 6 AAAs at a time, which can take an hour for one hour of marking. Bad design as far as it goes.
