I work a lot with garden tractors and outboard motors. I'm repairing a 40 hp outboard motor. and associated remote control. The remote control has spring clips. Unfortunately, the pins on these pliers are too large to fit into the holes in the spring clip. The clip is about 1/2 inch in diameter so I wouldn't call it a tiny clip (see photo). These pliers are of good quality but the pins are all the same size. It would be nice if instead of four types of jaw alignment, the manufacturer provided pins of different sizes. So I might have a chance to use smaller pins to fit my clamp. I'll probably keep one or two of these tongs and give the rest away as they seem superfluous. I hope I can use them if I come across a clip with large holes that fit these pliers.
