We live in New Orleans' French Quarter. We get plenty of heat in the summer, but we do have a few months of chill. I had been thinking about getting one of these, but the recent freeze / frost was the final incentive. I decided that, in addition to making a quick cold frame using plastic sheeting, I could use this to help our courtyard plants through the freeze.The assembly and instructions were not as challenging as some have indicated. I was able to assemble it alone, but I would suggest a partner for the final stage (putting the burner assembly on top.) All told assembly took about an hour. I had no real misunderstanding or questions during assembly.The "soap bubble test" was well advised. I had to tighten the regulator connection to prevent a leak.I placed the heater upwind of our garden and ran it on low for almost 24 total hours on the lowest setting. It did a nice job. Turned up to high the tank would be exhausted in one third that time.
