Received this to replace a leather chair I bought on Craigslist. Pros: - It looks damn clean to be honest. $110 (if it doesn't fall apart after 2 years) - The seat is slightly different and the center cushion (at the edge of the seat) forces you to plant your legs a bit further OR you have to consciously pull your legs. I was perhaps overly concerned about this because my last chair was pre-hacked before I even received it. However, I like it. The flip arms rotate amazingly :) I'm a bit concerned that they will break if you put too much stress on them over time. This bad boy has no triceps. - As other people have said, it's quite comfortable, but I don't think it's as soft a seat as maybe the LA-Z Boy - Assembly is pretty intuitive, but it's good. because. Disadvantages:. I didn't get any instructions. Everything that came in my box seemed to be a mix of leftover parts because one of the hands was in a BLUE bubble bag and everything else was just clean. The clear cardboard and plastic cover with all my screws, wall plugs etc was clearly re-uploaded from the one returned as it had obviously already been taken apart and glued back together. Other people have said assembly is difficult because the backrest is held together with the base using only hands. Let me repeat, the base connects to the arms and the arms connect to the back. There is NO direct connection between the base seat and the backrest. So when you try to assemble the seat, armrests and backrest, you end up playing this weird game where you try to balance this whole stupid thing by trying to put screws in holes you can't see anymore . But I said the assembly is intuitive, and it is. In theory, everything is easy to set up. The quality of some parts is questionable. While holding the wheels, I got the impression that they were the cheapest wheels. I particularly doubt the long-term stability of the axes. Also, I felt like I could pull them just a little and they would come out of engagement toward the wheelbase. Also, the pipe from the wheelbase to the seat assembly popped out of the seat assembly when I picked up the chair by the seat after I finished assembly. Maybe after a decent amount of use and sitting in it, it will become safer. But now I'm worried if I pick it up to move it behind the seat it will fall apart again. There is a lot of speculation about my cons and I will happily come back to update this review in 6 months or a year if it is still of quality.
