Bought these passive speakers for my Korg weighted number pad. I use an amplifier but my old speakers (25 years old) were cracking and I wanted a decent sound. I didn't need a deafening volume, but I wanted a quality sound that would reflect the dynamics of the piano and other keyboard tones. These small (beefy) speakers arrived today. They were easy to set up, with quality speaker wire already stripped and ready to plug in. The sound quality is excellent. Everything is balanced. Definitely worth the price for this purpose. (No, I won't be touring anytime soon.) But for home use, it's spot on.
