Review on StarTech Com SATA USB Cable USB3S2SAT3CB by Jon Garcia

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Heats up but works well

Well it works and yes it is Sata 3.1 but there are a few things I didn't like. First, it gets very hot during use. Second, there is no LED to indicate disk access. There is a RED LED on the bottom to indicate power is on. While a 20-inch cable might be enough for laptop use, it's a real problem for a desktop with USB3 ports on the back. If they had a 1 meter cable it would be more suitable. even better if it was a thin, flexible, braided cable. Update: Bus 004 Device 002: ID 174c: 55aa Bridge ASMedia Technology Inc.
