Works well for the price I paid!

I used them for crème brûlée and they did the job. High intensity produces a suitable flame - good for lighting a steak (haven't tried it) but medium intensity is good for crème brûlée. I've found that if you turn the fire down to low, the flame goes out. I've tried it a few times by lighting the sugar and the flame has always gone out within a minute. The middle fire did the job, although it did burn some of the sugar while I was trying to get the edges. The flame blocking was a little confusing, but I attribute it to weak flames that often go out. Because of this, I was never sure if the flame was burning or not. This was fixed if you kept it on medium. You can see the flame and it won't go out, otherwise be careful because you'll leak propane into the air. Another issue was refueling - I think it's easy enough once you know what you're doing, but this was my first time and some of the propane leaked out of the burner when it was full. Did they even evaporate? Anyway, I put it on a paper towel just in case. For the price I recommend this if you just want to make desserts sometimes or light up a few things. :)
