These 2" letters fit perfectly in my new mailbox (replacing the one that the sharing service driver accidentally flattened). The standard practice of using a webbing loop to tweak/check placement has worked very well. My clear ruler was also placed on a ribbon hinge for proper alignment and spacing. I used 1-3/4 inch spacing from the start of one number to the start of the next number. I used a thin marker to make notches on the top paper at the left edge of the number and at the bottom to help with alignment. The only thing I would have done differently was draw a thin line with a marker along the bottom edge of the numbers, on the top paper backing, not just the marker, to help align placement before cutting the numbers into individual ones digits. This end result makes for better rotation placement, since italic numerals have no rotation placement features. The numbers are not block letters, with very small square shapes for alignment.
