Folks - my original charger broke so I bought this one. In retrospect, a big mistake! I should have just paid more for the original Surface Pro charger. It messed up my laptop. It shows a charging indicator, but it's not actually charging. I was working on my laptop connected to the network and my laptop just shut down. At first I thought it was a problem with my laptop. But over time I realized that it wasn't really charging my laptop. I have to place the charging cable at strange angles until the 'connected/charging' sign lights up. Sometimes I even had to tape it to the side of the charger so it wouldn't automatically stop charging when I took my hand off the charger. I just bought a new original Best Buy charger and now my laptop won't charge. Charger. This fake BS charger ruined my Surface Pro batteries which I now have to invest in a new battery pack and pay hundreds of dollars to fix. Shame on this company that sells such faulty products.
