I was so excited about these shelves but they were nothing short of a huge disappointment. I received the first set and one of the 6 brackets had the holes punched differently. Okay, ok, ordered a replacement. I inspected everything when the replacement came and everything turned out to be fine. After reading the reviews I decided to pre-drill holes in the floors to avoid cracking the wood during installation as wood is definitely very brittle. That helped. The third shelf I was waiting for was waiting to be installed for books but was reworked so I couldn't install it right away. I went to the install tonight and found AGAIN that the holes weren't punched properly. I have already replaced the element once and got the same result. I am absolutely dissatisfied with the workmanship of these shelves. Don't waste money. You pay for "3" but end up only having 2 working ones which aren't worth what they are worth.
