Works but needs a bit of tweaking

I practice and use these alcohol burners to put out fires. I needed an extra one for my other office so I went with this one for the price. The product itself has a small issue that hopefully can be fixed in the future. One of them is a ceramic wick holder. As few in the reviewer mention, trying to pull the wick through was a headache. I ended up having to take it to my office and use one of the tweezers to push it all the way through. The ceramic wick holder is great at absorbing heat, but it needs a rubber seal or something to keep the air tight to the bottle so it doesn't spill if tipped over, and secondly to prevent the school from evaporating. As you can see next to my old burner I can also use a metal neck that slides the wick up and down to control the flame where the new one doesn't have that feature. You will need tweezers to pull the wick up to raise the flame and to lower the flame you must put out the fire, remove the wick cap and pull it down. So not very convenient. Finally the plastic cover. Who knew using a plastic cover to put out a fire was a good idea? It should be ceramic or metal like my old one. Nice that an additional wick is included. Tip: I always use 95-99% isopropyl alcohol. Ordinary apothecaries don't burn well. After pouring the alcohol, you must soak the wick to the tip, otherwise you will burn the wick dry.
