Eating battery like crazy

3 units didn't even work and I had to replace the supplied batteries with my own. Since then, one of the devices has changed 3 batteries in less than 2 months. It wasn't because it was drained when leaks were found. It just wastes batteries and beeps very loudly in the middle of the night.
