They work.
They will work for what I bought them for. They do have some weight, so I'm guessing they're made of sterling silver plated steel alloy. They don't bend, but the adhesive can peel off the coating and some of them will fade, which isn't a big problem. The only thing that confuses me is that the inner diameter is actually 26mm, so none of the 25mm cabochons I bought fit that well.
