I have a dining table that I don't want to cover up because it's so pretty. But I don't want it scratched and marred either so I like to have something clear on it. I was using vinyl pane which works so well because it comes on a roll and isn't all full of those awful wrinkles. However, I just have to cut it square and then have to attach a few pieces of table to keep it in place.When I seen these clear, fitted, round table covers I had a flash of joy! It is well made with heavy elastic and a nice weight of vinyl. However, it's still going to slip and slide. I have a 42" round table and I ordered the 42" round cloth, but it's big enough that it slips.The next problem is the wrinkles. I did as one reviewer suggested and used my hair dryer with a cotton kitchen towel for smoothing and it worked surprisingly well. It also l revealed some flaws. When you get all those wrinkles out you can see where it looks like little pin pricks at various spots where the tablecloth was folded, and when you run your finger over them they are raised. I would not trust this tablecloth 100% to keep moisture away from my table if something were spilled. I wonder if it would help if they packaged it using some tissue paper?I don't know if I'd buy another one or not. I guess maybe it will depend on how this one does now that I have it on and have most of the wrinkles out.
