Review on SHIMANO Men's CT500 Casual Cycling Shoes by Terry Keown

Going well with my pros and cons

I wear normal 9.5D shoes. My legs began to cramp at the ends. Although it took them a month to deliver them to me, I was satisfied when I received them. I used to wear SIDI 43 shoes. SIDI started to curl and narrow at the end of my foot and the toe box is a bit tight for medicine. THIS SHOE IS PERFECT. They weren't a size 43 but the 9.5-10 was a size 44. They weren't too long as I figured I'd have to go up a size. Also, the spike has two sets of mounting holes on the front and back, I put the screws in the back and the ball of my foot popped out perfectly without being too far forward. Very convenient. The picture and description don't seem really clear on the laces, I assumed they tie less since they don't have a lace loop. They're related, but that's okay. Also, I don't agree with the comments about the spikes scraping the ground at the wrong angle, I deepened them a lot. I had other shoes that were scratched.

Pros
  • Not particularly comfortable or stylish, fit was a bit small
Cons
  • I replaced the insole as it is not cushioned. Take the one with the gel insole.
