Review on Counter 🌳 Snap OBerry Wood Flooring by Paul Giordano

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Sometimes it works. Sometimes nothing does

So far my husband has drilled 10 screws. Of the ten, 6 did what they were supposed to do: they broke normally and eliminated the creaking. The other 4 either didn't break like they were supposed to or didn't fix the creaking. We found that you MUST drill a screw into a joist under the floor and if there is a crack in the floor where the squeaking is you have to have someone stand as close as possible to push the floor in while you drive the screw turn in . If the screw is not broken, you will need to manually rock the drill guide to loosen it. In this case, you need to be careful not to crumple the bottom. We did it at 2 and that makes the hole much more visible. Where we hit the beam and dented the floor the creaking is gone (much to my relief) Where we missed the beam the creaking is still just as severe and now we have a hole in the hardwood. Which brings me to my next con. The hole is definitely larger than the "finished nail". It leaves about 1/4 inch hole. So you have to decide whether you want those imperfections on your hardwood or squeaky floors. We used wood putty and a furniture/floor repair marker to fill in the holes. I would recommend this product if you have the ability to find joists under the floor. It completely drowned out some of our loudest, most terrifying squeaks. This will not save you from cracks and pops in the floorboards. The attached photos show the filled and painted hole.
