Purchased to run an external gaming monitor for home work and gaming on my 2015 Macbook Pro 13" It appears that the HDMI port on the MBP is indeed rated at a maximum refresh rate of 60Hz running, my monitor can go up to 200Hz (Displayport) and around 140Hz (HDMI).So I knew something was limiting the refresh rate, most likely it was a laptop.Although there wasn't any reliable literature on the internet about it, I bought it to see if it works AND IT WORKED IT OUT Now I get 144Hz through the display port for Thunderbolt 2 and 120Hz through your Xbox (HDMI) GREAT PURCHASE!
