Awesome PowerPoint Remote Control. No software is required to use Windows. Just plug the dongle into a USB port and switch PowerPoint to slideshow mode. The right and left buttons move slides forward or backward. The bottom button closes the screen and the top button is a red laser pointer. Fits in the palm of your hand and couldn't be easier. Uses two included AAA batteries and is very reliable. The build quality is excellent. I've had a navigation remote (virtually identical shape and design) for many years. I always had to take out the batteries when I was traveling to keep them from running out of power. When my sat nav broke, I bought it. That's wonderful. Much cheaper than a navigator and basically works the same as my old navigator, but with significant differences: > A small USB dongle plugs into the remote control when not in use. Putting it in the remote kills the batteries so you NEVER need to remove the batteries. To remove a key from the remote simply click on it and it will appear. then plug it into the laptop. Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit recognized it right away, but I suspect it will work with any version of Windows (old or new). I used to have to carry a bag for the remote control, key and two batteries. Now I only carry the remote with me as the other parts are inside > The USB dongle is half the size of the Navigator version, making it easier to use in tight spaces > The buttons are much smaller. I didn't like it at first because I was used to very large keys, but I quickly retrained and now see a big plus. My navigator broke because the buttons in the suitcase were broken. I suspect this will not happen with these keys. Although they are small, they are far apart, so even a person with weak or fragile hands shouldn't have a problem with them.
