The nut fell off when trying to remove it.
What do you use Elmers Glue? I don't know if I'll buy another K&N after that. I installed it manually last year (as I have always done for 40 years). I didn't have an open-end wrench, so I had to use a 1" socket. I ended up having to buy a filter strap wrench to get it out. The strap wrench worked with no problems.
