I bought this bookshelf to use for children's books in my son's nursery. It took me about 20 minutes to assemble. The only downside was that it was difficult to line up the screws with the screw holes, which resulted in me splitting the chipboard in two places. There were also three large patches of some sort of black residue on the chipboard. Haven't tried washing it off yet, but it was pretty gross. So the plus points are that the shelf looks very nice when assembled. I bought the blue and white version and the two tones are really fun and give it dimension and vibrancy. The shelf is the perfect size for standard children's books or books with chapters. But for large hardcover books, it's small. Make sure you measure the items you plan to store against the inside dimensions of the shelf. I also like how sturdy the shelf feels. It's quite heavy and probably won't pose a tipping hazard.
