ok i have had a beard for about 3.5 years. I used my Panasonic razor to trim my neck and parts of my face for general grooming. Before that I replaced about a year earlier. So this is my first block and mesh replacement in over 4 years. As I moved forward, I shaved off my beard and received a razor warning that I needed to replace the cutting block and foil. So I did. The biggest difference for me was being able to shave off those pesky hackles that lay flat. I should have walked over it several times before. Now it's his first round and they're shaved. The same goes for the rest of my face. I have a very stiff beard and now I have no more problems. Huge improvement. If you're getting a warning to replace the cutter and foil on your Arc4, it might be time.
