I bought this item (36 bulbs) because of the larger lighting and the feature that allows you to turn the light on after motion is detected, regardless of the lighting in the room . This is important as the kitchen usually has lights or other ambient lighting that will keep the lights from turning on. Most other products on the site do not have this "any lighting" option. In addition, 36 LEDs in each block provide plenty of light, we use 3 for the whole body, motion detection is excellent. I recommend this device over 12 light products.
