I should have read the dimensions on this one. I use it on guppy babies, the babies can come back through the gaps and then be eaten before they give birth. It's smaller than what I had before but the kids can't get out so you'll be fine after you take mom out. All you have to do is remove the lid from the aquarium and then the lid from the fish box so they can be fed. Holds very tight to the tank. The slots on the top cover won't allow you to feed them, so you'll have to remove them every time.
