Review on 🔍 Enhanced SEO: Ugears Steampunk Mechanical Self-Assembly Kit by Travis Smith

No clock and not easy to assemble

If it's a clock I don't know what units of time it is. When the big hand moves 3, the small hand moves 1. One full revolution of the big hand and the small hand stands at 4. The units should be punks and pairs, not minutes and hours. The mechanism is not designed for minutes and hours. This model is difficult to assemble and requires tools and sandpaper. Most parts were difficult to remove from the boards they belonged to. The material is 4mm thick plywood (Baltic birch maybe?) and over time the parts flaked off when removed. Assembling the snaps was difficult, sometimes requiring a hammer. The final assembly of the frame into the base took so much effort that I broke off a thin, fancy decoration and used needle nose pliers and a hammer to complete the assembly step. They will spin freely enough. After final assembly, the gear train cannot turn from the gears in the base as it is locked. I couldn't see what was misaligned, but the gear system works by turning one of the gears in the middle of the train.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Hard to tell
