Review on Charging Controller Protection Undervoltage Automatic by Jeff Jemison

I have no idea what I'm doing

There are no instructions for this block - it's just a circuit board in static packaging. The terminals are labeled on the board, but the potentiometers are not. The FAQ here at Revain states that the start switch is 'mandatory', but the unit should turn back on if the voltage rises above a threshold. Haven't played with pots yet - plug it into a solar fountain with a small battery. . The device does not turn on until I press "Required Switch". The device then operates until it reaches the low voltage threshold. I'm wondering if I can set one of the pots to turn on without a switch - that was the impression I had when I bought it. If I have to click a button every time to run it, it's not very useful. It would be very nice if the pots were at least marked. Documentation would be even better. But I think you get what you pay for. When you try to make the adjustment, the device twinkles, does not turn off (always on when voltage is applied to the battery), but there is no voltage at the output terminals. Worked a total of 36 hours and couldn't get it to work properly.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • I won't say anything
