Dishwasher safe, but measure your pan before buying!

I have used it many times since I received it (purchased in December 2017). Works well and is indeed dishwasher safe, bottom rack. So far no rust and the hinge is still in perfect condition even after about 20 washes in the dishwasher. Note: It barely fits my 12" cast iron skillet and won't sink - measure before you buy! anything can go raw - at least it happened to me. So I wholeheartedly recommend this for pans 10 inches and smaller. The folding feature is really great.

Pros

Versatile: The splatter guard is ideal for use when food is cooking, when food needs to be seen and controlled, or when food gets too hot when using a pot lid. The strainer keeps splatters out and allows steam to escape while the pan and food maintain a constant heat. The rack can also be used to drain and strain pots and pans, to steam vegetables while cooking, or as a rack to cool muffins and cookies.
