Great hydration pack for half marathons or short distances

I've run in this hydration pack for the past few years. I recently bought a second one because my original one was worn out. Mostly I like this pack. It contains enough water to easily run a half marathon. It has a mesh pocket on the right side that I use for my iPod and a zippered pocket on the left side that I carry my ID, medical card, pocket knife, and car keys. It also has a mesh pocket on the left side in front of a zipped pocket that I use for eye drops. Instead, you can simply place energy gels or small snacks. There is a zipped pocket on the back of the backpack that I use for my energy gels and headlamp. It's not very big, but in my opinion this pack alone isn't designed to run more than a half marathon without extra water in my bag, which I often do during the hotter summer months or when I plan on running more. 13.1 miles. It has multiple adjustable straps so you can easily adjust the fit even while running. I have two complaints about my experience with this pack: 1. There is a leak where the hydration tube connects to the hydration bladder. I bought this pack brand new and it started leaking right away. It was a bit comfortable at first because it was summer and the seeping water was cooling my lower back. The problem is that the water that comes out is water that I could drink. So if it leaks, it defeats the purpose of the backpack. The mouthpiece on the drinking tube got small cracks/holes after just a few uses. I don't bite hard to get the water flowing, but when I fill my bladder all the way, the pressure of running on my bladder forces the water through the cracked mouthpiece, so as soon as I take my first sip , The mouthpiece often drips down the front of my shirt where it is pinned. Once again water feels great on a hot day but this water I could drink and defeats the purpose of the backpack. A lot of times I just put the mouthpiece in my mouth and walk like that, so at least I'm absorbing the water that comes out and not wasting it. For the price this is a good hydration vest/backpack. There is decent storage and I can easily carry what I need for a run (6-18 miles). Leak issues are quite annoying, but I carry a pocket computer with me to deal with them.
