This Coleman sundowner is well made with quality materials. I tested how long the drinks stay hot enough by pouring fresh coffee straight from the coffee pot around 7:00 a.m. and leaving it there. Three hours later the coffee was still smoking. The lid has a sliding lid but is NOT hermetic by design. A sliding cover is just a cover. Its main purpose is to keep foreign objects out or prevent the entire contents of the mug from spilling in the event of a tipping. This cup should not be filled and packed in a backpack, it will leak. For tea or coffee in and around the office, however, I think this Coleman Sundowner is great for that purpose.
