Wish I had found this mat sooner! As soon as we all quarantined, my boot camp started giving live online classes for us to do at home. I used my yoga mat for three months which I completely destroyed as it couldn't stand up to such workouts. I've had this rug for about three weeks and it's great! This is a heavy mat that won't slip even when doing burpees! It is very durable and I have no doubt that it will last a very long time. This rug had absolutely no chemical smell, it was ready to use straight out of the box, it didn't need to be aired. It's firm, not soft, so it can be a bit hard on the knees, but it's not unbearable and it's totally worth having a durable exercise mat that can stand up to the toughest of workouts! I highly recommend!
