Beware of the heat best tools and equipment
This pad sheds a little but can be treated. Unfortunately, the hot melt adhesive used to attach the hook and loop material to the backing softens under the heat of mirror polishing and fails. I would recommend these pads for light buffing only. When the heat begins to soften the adhesive, the pad can be set aside to cool. If the pad is removed while still warm, it will delaminate. Unfortunately, melted glue can seep into the support pad and ruin it.
