First, what's in it. Includes 120V power cord. The portable power supply requires 3D batteries. There is also a DC 4.5V jack on the back, but the power adapter is not included. There's a headphone jack on the back, which is nice to the touch. Now for the bad. Shortwave frequencies don't pick up anything. Reception is almost non-existent for FM and AM. The numbers on the dial are far away, so you can only guess what frequency you're on. The volume is either off or 1000 dB. If you want an FM radio that plugs into the wall and is constantly tuned to the same very powerful station, I'd say it's a decent $3 deal. If you want an emergency radio (like me) then this is a pass.
