I needed GOOD quality security cameras for my remote 250-acre mountain ranch, a place I only get to visit once a week. I was VERY excited to photograph a moose, a bear or maybe even a mountain lion. Mainly I wanted the main entrance to the property to have "eyes". After doing a little research I figured I might not have picked the best, but at least a good enough trail camera kit. In the first months these cameras were a disappointment! Battery life was poor at first until I realized there were too many branches dangling from the tree and the camera was constantly tripping. The included chips were too small - I had to order separate 32GB chips which work great. Setting up the Time Lapse feature seemed interesting until I found out I had to download the manufacturer/proprietary software app to view it. The app was pretty buggy; not helpful at all. However, like fishing, you need to be patient. After months of waiting for something interesting, the velvet deer and the gray fox arrived about two days apart and about a week after replacing the batteries and chip. The stag appears late in the evening but is easy to spot in the photo shown here on the left. It took a few minutes for the gray fox that appeared at night to identify him, but the ID seemed secure. I originally gave this product a 1 star rating but upgraded it based on my recent results. Not very good cameras, but at least they work.
